Building “Buy-in” for Culture Change: Getting the Whole Team on Board
APRIL 26, 2007 at 1:00-4:30pm
If you are working to transform your organization’s culture to one that is more person-centered and person-directed, it is critical that you engage all individuals in the effort, from your direct care staff to your residents, families, boards of directors and corporate leaders. Once everyone’s on board, you need tools to help ensure ongoing opportunities for meaningful participation and input in your organization’s practices. Join us at the next meeting of Oregon’s culture change coalition as we examine how to engage all members of your organization in your culture change journey!
Objectives
- Review a newly-developed educational presentation on culture change and learn how you can obtain a copy to use in your organization
- Practice how to use Learning Circles in a time-efficient way that will move your organization forward…rather than spinning in circles
- Hear from direct care workers about their role in transforming the culture of aging
